Week 4 Day 1
Welcome to Week 4 of The Self Mastery Series! So far we have explored your mind, body, fitness, failure, relationships and rest aspects of Self Mastery for three weeks. We have looked at strength, flexibility, rest, using failure and the quality of your relationships. Now we go further into the depths of our character in Week 4.
Mental Training- Having a Vision
Without a vision, people perish. I heard that somewhere once and it always stuck with me and now I believe it to be very true. Whatever we want our life to be like, whatever we want to see, do or achieve, we must be able to see it in our minds. To, as Les Brown says, live out of our imagination instead of our memory. So let us ask now, what is your vision? Do you have a vision for your life? Do you see where it is going? These reflective questions are very powerful in helping us to question and understand who we are and where we are going in our lives. I recommend practising your vision daily, seeing what you want and being open to it happening. Now let us take our vision further beyond visualisation of manifestation .
Creating and sharing a vision
It is a great thing to have visions for yourself, but it is even greater to have and hold them for others and for the wider world. Becoming our best selves is a fantastic act of giving to the world, as your best self you can be of great use to the world. And you can go beyond this into shared visions. Take some time to talk with your partner and family members about important issues. Where do you share a vison? here do you see things differently? Having clarification on these issues can greatly help to improve your communication, as you will both share a clear picture of what you want in a situation and where you see things going. You can extend this into group visions, visions for your work and the wider world. This is a very powerful form of solidarity with others, ensuring that you can dream together of the same image.
Week 4 Day 1 Actions
Take some time to reflect on your vision of your life- what it is, where it is going. Write it down. if there are several, write them down too. Talk to others and come up with shared visions. Write them down and return to them daily. See how they help you to steer and stay close to where you want to go and what you want to be.
